I’VE BEEN “BRANDING” BEFORE I EVEN KNEW WHAT IT WAS.

As a child, I was always telling stories with words and pictures. Over the years, this grew into my passion for bringing out the essence – of people, businesses, books, events, organizations – through their stories.

What I’ve come to realize is that branding is the purest, most concise form of storytelling. It has the power to share who we are and what we do – in an image, in a name, in a sentence. And storytelling is transformative. Your story – and your brand – has the power to touch people.

I BELIEVE THAT EVERY BUSINESS OWNER HAS AN IMPORTANT STORY AND THAT STORY IS WHAT MAKES YOUR BUSINESS UNIQUE.

That story is what will touch your ideal clients and help them see the potential of working with you. Bringing out your story is what I love to do.

I STARTED MY CAREER AS AN EDITOR AT DOUBLEDAY.

I met and worked with so many so fascinating people on exciting books – Luciano Pavarotti, George Plimpton, Jerry Hall to name a few. I worked my way up to Jackie Onassis’ right hand editor. It was a great gig.

Later I moved to San Francisco, managed the publishing arm for an educational nonprofit, edited and produced books, and was a founding team member for an award-winning magazine.

I’ve always loved traveling and my work in nonprofit took me all over the world. I produced and marketed events in the US and Europe, recruited and managed production teams, and developed marketing strategies and branded materials.

This gave me the chance to immerse myself in a whole other scene of movers and shakers in the human potential world. I spent time with teachers and speakers East and West. And I discovered a well of inspiration and creativity in myself through meditation and yoga while I traversed the world. I became a global citizen.

And in addition to my journeys – inner and outer – I know what it’s like to run a small business. I’ve started a few myself – an integrative health center, a concert production company, and this branding and marketing agency.

My travels brought me back home and I earned a marketing and branding strategy certificate at NYU to hone my skills. And I dove into my own creative passions – writing, indie film producing, jazz piano.

ALL THIS IS TO SAY THAT I’M A HIGHLY

creative person

organizational skills

TO BACK IT UP.

Yes, I’m a branding and marketing expert.

I’m also a problem solver.

I HOLD THE FOUNDATION FOR YOUR BIG VISION AND MAKE IT REAL.

And because of my broad experience and travels, as well as my own inner deep dive, I have an uncanny knack to be able to take your big picture… and go even bigger.

Beyond my experience as a brander and marketer, I’m the visionary who helps you step out of the day-to-day and sees more for your business than you. I’m the fresh pair of eyes that helps pick up the things you don’t see because you’ve got a million other important things to think about.

HERE’S WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE ABOUT BRANDING:

IT LITERALY SHIFTS YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR BUSINESS.

Your brand is so much more than a logo. It defines who you are, your values, and what you bring to the world. A great brand gives you confidence to do what you do. It sells your business before you open your mouth. It’s the foundation for every single one of your sales.

AND HERE’S WHAT I KNOW TO BE TRUE ABOUT MARKETING:

IT’S ABOUT BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS, NOT SELLING YOUR PRODUCT.

Once you have your brand, you can’t sell successfully without a clear marketing plan. It’s like running a marathon. You can’t just run a little more every day and hope you’ll get there. You have to strategize and train to make sure you’ll get to the end line in your best time. You need a clear marketing plan so you don’t have to think about it, or say, I’ll get to it later. You just do it.

Small business owners have a lot to do. Daily operations, sales, vendors, team management, hitting that bottom line. It’s hard to step back by yourself to get an objective view. You need an experienced guide. You need someone to provide a bigger vision for your business than even you do. It takes strategic planning, getting a big picture view, stepping back to lay the foundation of a business that will be here for years to come.

No one can do this alone, and it’s nowhere near as fun. (I know, I’ve tried!) Let’s explore this together and see the heights we can bring you and your business to.
